Graveside funeral services for Christine Laney Singletary, 84, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, in Rawls Family Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Travis Harrison will officiate. Mrs. Singletary passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Thursday, September 17, 2015.

Mrs. Singletary was born on September 20, 1930, in Ceder Springs, GA, to the late Andrew Laney and Dottie May Chandler. She was married to Melvin Wright Singletary, who preceded her in death on July 3, 1988. She worked for many years with Tillman Seed Company.

Survivors include: sons, Roger D. Singletary (Shirley) of Ocala, FL, Chet Singletary of Cairo, GA, David Singletary (Cynthia) of Cairo, GA; daughter, Ann Borega (Roland) of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Tommy Johns of Cairo, GA, Barbara Owens of Cairo, GA, Greg Parrish of St. Petersburg, FL, Karen Logsdon of Ocala, FL, Jeanne Singletary of Cairo, GA, Mathew Singletary of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Shelby Logsdon, Cody Logsdon, Madison Logsdon, all of Ocala, FL, Hunter Rowan, Kaleb Owens, both of Cairo, GA; sister, Frances Watford of Columbia, AL; brothers, Ruell Laney of Cairo, GA, Gordon Laney of Palatka, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sister, Mary Crawford; and a brother, Dan Laney.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
