Cleo Allen Welch
October 7, 1942 – November 23, 2020

Graveside memorial services for Cleo Allen Welch, 78, of Cairo, GA, are on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate.  Mrs. Welch passed away at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville, GA, on Monday, November 23, 2020.

Mrs. Welch was born on October 7, 1942, in Cairo, GA, to the late Warner Jackson Allen and Willie Mae Souls.  On June 4, 1965, she married Curtis Ewell Welch, who preceded her in death on January 5, 2008.  They were married for over 42 years.  She was a certified nursing assistant at Magnolia Place of Cairo until her retirement.  She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Ochlocknee.

Survivors include: her son, Darrell Welch and his wife, Raquel of Panama City, FL; grandsons, Alex Welch of Cairo, GA, Matthew Welch of Thomasville, GA; brother, James Allen of Cairo, GA; sisters, Maggie Polk of Cairo, GA, Betty Wenzel of Thomasville, GA, Barbara Allen of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brothers, Clyde Allen, Roger Allen, Walter Allen; and a sister, Ruby Allen.
