Clifford Neal Head, Sr.
July 2, 1934 – February 7, 2023

Graveside funeral services for Clifford Neal Head, Sr., 88, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2023, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Chaplain David Cook will officiate.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Head passed away at his home on February 7, 2023.

Mr. Head was born on July 2, 1934, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Arthur N. Head and Jewell Dennis Head.  He served his country in the United States Navy for over 23 years.  On September 27, 1960, he married Betty Jo Craton Head, who preceded him in death.  He was retired from the Grady County Board of Education after working in maintenance with the Whigham School System.  He was a member of Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his children, Clifford N. Head, Jr. (Wendy) of Carthage, NY, Tammy Jo Gantt (Bobby) of Whigham, GA, Julian Bentley Head (Teresea) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Colton Jepson of Ft. Bragg, NC, Chainey Gantt of Whigham, GA, Carmen Gantt of Cairo, GA, Kerrigan Beck (Isaac) of Ft. Campbell, KY, Rease Head of Carthage, NY; and a sister, Patricia R. Williams of Donalsonville, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
