Memorial services for Corene Roberta Patterson Hicks, 75, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2020, at the Cairo Presbyterian Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Becky Willis will officiate. Ms. Hicks passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Thursday, February 6, 2020.

Ms. Hicks was born on December 6, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Chester Patterson and Esther Kirkpatrick Patterson. She was a retired educator with the Grady County Board of Education. She was a member of the Cairo Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: her daughter, Heather Hicks of Cairo, GA; her son, Andrew Hicks of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Stephen Hicks, Shawn Hicks, both of Calvary, GA; sister, Barbara Rippel of Carrollton, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ms. Hicks’ memory to the Cairo Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 207, Cairo, GA 39828.

The family will receive friends at the Cairo Presbyterian Church immediately following the memorial service.
