Craig Van Smith

Graveside funeral services for Craig Van Smith, 62, of Havana, FL, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Mr. Smith passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Mr. Smith was born on July 24, 1962, in Cairo, GA, to the late Clarence Ray Smith and Jeanette Darden Smith.  Craig was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, “Roll Tide.”  He LOVED all things Football, loved GOD, his family, fishing and his dog Gussie!  He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include: his brothers and sisters: Destin Smith (Roma) of Austin, TX, Cynthia Garrison (Matt) of League City, TX, Charlie Adams (Laurie) of Smith’s Station, AL, Patty Bender (Carl) of Florala, AL, David Adams (Mary Ann) of Lecanto, FL, Jay Adams (Lori) of Eufaula, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Clarence Ray Smith of Cairo, GA, his stepmother, Mary Jane Smith of Cairo, GA, and his mother, Jean Adams-Smith of Eufaula, AL.
