Dale Edward Knight

Memorial services for Dale Edward Knight, 77, of Whigham, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate.  Mr. Knight passed away at Magnolia Place Senior Living, Cairo, GA, on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Mr. Knight was born on May 9, 1944, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Jud Washington Knight and Carra Belle Norman Knight.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  On May 7, 1967, he married Judith Joiner Knight, who survives.  He was a retired Federal State Inspector-Collaborator for the Federal State Inspection Service.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Judy Knight of Whigham, GA; children, Stacy Gilliard of Cairo, GA, Eddie Knight (Donna) of Cairo, GA, Chad Knight (Tiffany) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Katelynn Tanner (Matt) of Cairo, GA, Ashley Moore (Jonathan) of Cairo, GA, Brice Knight of Cairo, GA, Tessa Gilliard (Colby) of Jacksonville, FL, , Morgan Gilliard of Cairo, GA,  McKenna Knight of Whigham, GA, Ellie Kate Knight of Whigham, GA; great-grandchildren, Brayson Tanner of Cairo, GA, Abigail Moore of Cairo, GA, Alana Dispirito of Jacksonville, FL; and a sister, Maralene Bishop.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra Hogan.

The family will receive friends at Pine Level Baptist Church immediately following the memorial service.
