Darlene Kelley Ponder
February 5, 1960 – February 21, 2024

Funeral services for Darlene Kelley Ponder, 64, of Moultrie, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Union Springs Baptist Church, 355 Union Springs Road, Whigham, GA 39897.  Rev. James Knight will officiate.  Interment will be in Union Springs Cemetery.  Mrs. Ponder passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Trey Vandiver, Buddy Bryan, Glen Bryan, Lance Ponder, Logan Ponder and Phillip Ricks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Brinkley, Brock Ponder and Stephen Ponder.

Mrs. Ponder was born on February 5, 1960, in Camilla, GA, to the late Bobby Kelley and the late Rosalind Wright Kelley.  She married Jimme Ponder, Sr., who survives in 1975.  She was a herdsman and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:  her husband, Jimme Ponder, Sr.; daughter, Shanna Darlene Benton (Alvis); sons, Jimme Ponder, Jr. (Felicia) and Shan Lester Ponder, all of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren, Logan Ponder, Lance Ponder, Austin Ponder, Lynn Vandiver, Trey Vandiver and Haley Farmer; all of Moultrie, GA; siblings, Bobby Chad Kelley (Stephanie), Bobbie Charlene Byran (Jessie) and Lisa Gail Butler (PhilIip), all of Moultrie, GA; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at Union Springs Baptist Church on Sunday, February 25, 2024, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
