David Delano Mobley, Sr.

David Delano Mobley, Sr., 78, of Whigham, GA, passed away at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, GA, on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Interment will be in the Tallahassee National Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL.
Mr. Mobley was born on June 22, 1937, in rural Decatur County, Whigham, GA, to the late Charlie Norwood Mobley and the late Mary Ruth Hudson Mobley. He was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. He was self-employed in December 1963, with Mitchell County Tractor Company in Pelham, GA, at the age of 26. He sold the business that operated the John Deere agricultural dealership business in Pelham, GA, in January 1977, at the age of 39. He departs with no sadness. He lived a great life answering only to himself doing things his own way.
Survivors include: sons, David D. Mobley, Jr. (Cathy) of Roswell, GA, Reverend Michael L. Mobley (Karen) of Whigham GA, Paul K. Mobley (June) of Tallahassee, FL; and a grandson, Alexander Julian Mobley (Carly) of Whigham, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
