Donald Eugene Dyson, Sr.

Funeral services for Donald Eugene Dyson, Sr., 82, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Mark Boyd will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Dyson passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Moultrie, GA, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Tom Kines, Rick Kines, Sam Kines, Tim Kines, Ryan Dyson and Nicholas Dyson.

Mr. Dyson was born on February 16, 1942, in Jackson, OH, to the late Damon Russell Dyson and Mary Mae Morris Dyson. He served his country in the United States Army. On December 30, 1967, he married Carleen Kines Dyson, who survives. They were married for over 57 years. He retired from the security industry. He was a member of Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Carleen Kines Dyson of Whigham, GA; children, Donald “Donnie” Dyson, Jr. (Jessica) of Brinson, GA, Cynthia “Cindy” Dyson of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Dyson (Tori) of Okinawa, Japan, Nicholas Dyson of Whigham, GA, Jennifer Dyson of Whigham, GA; great-grandchildren, Mason Walden of Lakeland, GA, Giovanni Dyson of Okinawa, Japan; brother, Greg Ross of Columbus, OH; and a host of extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
