Graveside funeral services for Donna Jean Mobley Childress, 58, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Rev. Robert Fletcher will officiate.  Ms. Childress passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Ms. Childress was born on October 5, 1964, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Tommy Reade Mobley, Sr. and Barbara Blanchard Mobley.  She worked in the restaurant business as a cook for many years.  She was of the Christian faith.  She loved her children and her family.

Survivors include: daughters, Julia Mobley Highsmith (Shawn) of Sylvester, GA, Becky Mobley of Pelham, GA, Angela Nichols of Bainbridge, GA; son, Carlton Rhodes Childress, Jr. (Tonya) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Avery of Cairo, GA, Hanna Fraley (Ryan), of Sylvester, GA, Haley Hester of Sylvester, GA, Hazel Hester of Sylvester, GA, Shayna Sweet of Cairo, GA, Selena Sweet of Pelham, GA, Meagan Williams of Pelham, GA, David Nichols of Bainbridge, GA; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Glynda Burgess of Thomasville, GA, Deborah Griffin (Richard) of Thomasville, GA, Barbara Baron of Whigham, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; Barbara Blanchard Mobley, Tommy Reade Mobley, Sr.; and her brother, Tommy Reade Mobley, Jr.
