Donna Knight Scott

Donna K. Scott, 62, of Whigham, GA, passed away at her home in Whigham, GA on Friday, November 25, 2022.  The family will have a memorial service at Union Springs Baptist Church in Whigham, GA on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.  The Rev. James Knight will officiate the services.

Ms. Scott was born on August 10, 1960, in Cairo, GA, to the late Bobby Joe Knight, Sr. and Sandra E. Gwaltney Porter, who survives.  Donna worked in the insurance business for many years.  She was the insurance claims manager for the City of Thomasville for 15 years before her retirement.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Capel Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her mother and step-father, Sandra Gwaltney and Robert Porter, Whigham, GA; brother, Bobby Joe Knight, Jr., Whigham, GA; step-sister, Katina Stewart, Whigham, GA; niece, Hope Knight, Sanford, NC; great nieces and nephew, Mia and Mark Rutledge, Bentleigh Pitts, all of Sanford, NC.  She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, Joe Elbert and Mattie Lou Knight and Donald and Doris Gwaltney.

Memorials can be made in Donna’s memory to Union Springs Baptist Church, Whigham, GA.
