Graveside funeral services for Donnis Thompson Brinson, 77, of Donalsonville, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2024, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Mrs. Brinson passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Mrs. Brinson was born on May 17, 1947, in Cairo, GA, to Dewey Arnold Thompson and the late Minnie Wade Mash. On October 29, 1965, she married Wendell Brinson, who survives. They were married for over 59 years. She was a devoted housewife and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Cairo.

Donnis loved going on trips with her daughters and granddaughters. She loved taking care of her pets and any other animals that may have crossed her path and enjoyed collecting angel figurines. You could always find her at home on her back porch, watching the sunset over the lake with her husband.

Survivors include: her husband, Wendell Brinson of Donalsonville, GA; daughters, Lisa Denson (Kurt) of McQueeney, TX, Cindy Burgess (Jeff) of Cairo, GA; her father, Dewey Thompson of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Denson (Mariah) of New Braunfels, TX, Amber Stanaland (Tanner) of Cairo, GA, Skylar Burgess of Cairo, GA, Braeden Denson of McQueeney, TX; great-grandchildren, Liam Denson, Kennedy Denson, both of New Braunfels, TX, Harper Stanaland, Myles Stanaland, both of Cairo, GA; brother, Danny Thompson (Linda) of Thomasville, GA; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Richard Dewey Thompson.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.
