Edna Jowers Miller

Funeral services for Edna Jowers Miller, 75, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Glen Scoggin will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Miller passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Joel Miller, Nathaniel Miller, Caleb Miller, Hunter Lee Miller, Cliffton Miller and Ben Cross.

Mrs. Miller was born on July 31, 1940, in Attapulgus, GA, to the late Cliffton Jowers and Anna Jowers. On September 19, 1959, she married David Miller, who preceded her in death on July 29, 1999. Until her retirement, she worked with Ithaca Industries as a seamstress. She was a member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo, GA.

Survivors include: sons, Hayden Miller of Albany, GA, Billy Lee Miller (Karen) of Cairo, GA; daughter-in-law, Denise Miller of Pavo, GA; grandchildren, Noah Miller, Moses Miller, Joel Miller, Nathaniel Miller, Caleb Miller, Ruth Miller, Faith Miller, all of Albany, GA, Sarah Roberts of Thomasville, GA, Cliffton Miller of Pavo, GA, Hunter Lee Miller of Cairo, GA; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sons, Buddy Miller, Steven Merritt; brother, Sonny Jowers; and sisters, Janice Merritt, Evelyn Cofer.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 8, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
