Embry Ralph McBroom

Private funeral services for Embry Ralph McBroom, 84, of Whigham, GA, will be held at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. McBroom passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

Mr. McBroom was born on September 16, 1935, in Whigham, GA, to the late Ralph McBroom and Martha Lucile Ward McBroom. He served his country in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant. On July 10, 1965, he married Louise Fowler McBroom, who survives. He was a switchman working with the CSX Railroad Transportation until his retirement. He was a member of the Whigham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Louise McBroom of Whigham, GA; son, Matthew McBroom (Kim) of Whigham, GA; sisters, Lois Bennett of Whigham, GA, Dorothy Hester of Whigham, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David McBroom.
