Eric Lydell “Dale” Taylor
June 17, 1966 – November 7, 2021

Graveside funeral services for Eric Lydell “Dale” Taylor, 55, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, GA.  Rev. David Pickering will officiate.  Mr. Taylor passed away at his home on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Active pallbearers will be Ferris Taylor, Darrell Taylor, Steve Taylor, Levi Lane, Keith Meadows, and Shay Walden.

Mr. Taylor was born on June 17, 1966, in Cairo, GA, to the late Frank Taylor and Sue Hurst Taylor.  He was a member of the Cairo High School Class of 1984.  He was a heavy equipment operator.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Dale loved being outdoors and always had a job working in the outdoors.  He did bulldozer, backhoe and any tractor work.  When he wasn’t at work, he was always helping someone else that needed something done.  He had a big heart and never said no to anyone needing help.

Survivors include: his sister, Robin Johnson of Cairo, GA; brother, Michael “Mike” Taylor of Cairo, GA; nieces, Jennifer Boyett (Kevin) of Cairo, GA, Amanda Johnson of Cairo, GA, Brooke Taylor (Nick Baggett) of Cairo, GA; and great-nephews and great-niece, Jaken Meades of Cairo, GA, Grayson Baggett of Cairo, GA, Emma Baggett of Cairo, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; maternal grandparents, Russell Hurst and Eunice Elkins; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Eula Taylor.
