Funeral services for Florence Remola Orso Morris, 90, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Paul Womack and Rev. Greg Hester will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thomasville, GA. Mrs. Morris passed away at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Thomasville, GA, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
Active pallbearers will be Bailey Lewis, Dawson Lewis, Darrien Ezell, Kevin Baggett, Micheal Corley and Christopher Orso.
Mrs. Morris was born on December 21, 1932, in Theodore, AL, to the late Rossie Jennings Driskell and Maude Fletcher Driskell. Remola, along with her first husband traveled with Oral Roberts until the birth of the second child. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of Full Gospel Chapel in Cairo where her second husband served as the church pastor. She was the owner and operator of Orso Insurance Agency.
Survivors include: her children, Brenda Corley (John) of Cairo, GA, Richard Orso (Shonda) of Thomasville, GA, Jennifer Lewis of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Wanda Ezell (Darrien) of Cairo, GA, Brandy Baggett (Kevin) of Cairo, GA, Michael Corley (Sabrinia) of Leaksville, MS, Christopher Orso of Pavo, GA, Bailey Lewis of Warner Robins, GA, Dawson Lewis of Locus Grove, GA, Matthew Shane Pyles of Fort Collins, CO, Ashley Pyles of Illinois; 8 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, C. Eugene Orso; her second husband, W. Dean Morris; two daughters, Susan Heirs, Trina M. Orso; sisters and brothers, Helen Gatchel, Otto Driskell, Earl Driskell, Anna Young and Dorothy Spence.
