Funeral services for Frances Juanita Baggett, 81, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Pastor Greg Ford, Pastor Charles Parker, and Pastor Kerry Dinkins will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Baggett passed away at her home on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Active pallbearers will be Levi Webb, Chris Davis, Kevin Baggett, James Baggett, Tyler Lee, and Terry Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be Winfred Lee, Sonny Lee, Wesley Lee, Ray Gainey, Myron Jones, William Jones, Herman Ready, and Tommy Barrineau.
Mrs. Baggett was born on January 9, 1941, in Cairo, GA, to the late Henry Hurst and Beatrice Gilliard Hurst. Mrs. Baggett was married to Lloyd D. Baggett, who preceded her in death April 19, 2005. Before retiring, she was employed by the Leon County Board of Education in Tallahassee, FL, where she worked at Gilchrist Elementary School and Caroline Brevard Elementary School in the cafeteria for 24 years. She was an active member of Pine Hill Baptist Church of Cairo, Georgia. She enjoyed her time with each and everyone.
Frances loved to go fishing with her husband. They would load the boat on the back of the truck and head to the lake. She also loved to watch her hummingbirds come back every year to enjoy the beautiful flowers that she had planted for them. She enjoyed making her chocolate delight and fried okra that she lovingly shared with her church family on third Sunday Fellowship. Another family favorite was her butter pecan cake, better known as her yellow cake. She loved to watch Jeopardy and Guy Fieri on the cooking channel every night.
Survivors include: a brother, Charles Robin Hurst Sr. of Cairo, GA; 3 sisters-in-law, Jean Hurst of Cairo, GA, Beth Baggett of Deatsville, AL, Margaret Mullis of Perry, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; son, Garett D. Baggett; 2 brothers, Perry Winfred Hurst, Sr., Henry Eugene Hurst; and 3 sisters-in-law; Holly Page Hurst, Dorothy Pyles Hurst, and Teresa Moore Hurst.

The family will receive friends at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
