Funeral services for Frances Pyles Cutchens, 84, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Cutchens passed away at Bainbridge Healthcare, Inc. in Bainbridge, GA, on Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017.
Mrs. Cutchens was born on September 30, 1932, in Whigham, GA, to the late Charlie J. Pyles and Alice Ponder Pyles. She retired from Ithaca Industries in Cairo. She was a member of Golden Glow and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 30 years. She served as president of the Auxiliary for 3 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Donna Maxwell (Steve) of Dothan, AL; son, Michael Cutchens of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Jason Maxwell (Paula) of Bonaire, GA, Stephanie Fenner (Geoffrey) of Gaithersburg, MD, James Cutchens (Lesley) of Yukon, OK, Kelly Pierson (Scottie) of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Hannah Maxwell of Hickory, NC, Caroline Maxwell, Jake Maxwell, Ryan Maxwell, all of Bonaire, GA, Lillian Fenner of Gaithersburg, MD, Wesley Fenner of Gaithersburg, MD, Eva Cutchens of Yukon, OK; sister, Eunice Bragg of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Leo Hardy of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Marjorie Pyles Harrell, Martha Faye Pyles Hardy; and brothers, Leon Eugene Pyles, Charlie Lee Pyles.
