Freeman Ruff

Funeral services for Freeman Ruff, 79, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Eric Mitchell will officiate.  Mr. Ruff passed away at his residence, Cairo, GA, on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Mr. Ruff was born on June 8, 1945, in Cairo, GA, to the late Charlie Clyde Ruff and the late Bernice Cofer Ruff.  He was a supervisor at Sunnyland and was a member at First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Ruff of Cairo, GA; children, Maurice Ruff (Sonya) of Cairo, GA, Eugene Ruff (Trisha) of Thomasville, GA, Michelle Horton (Todd Wilkes) of Thomasville, GA, Michael Rutland (Traci) of Thomasville, GA, Brandon Leyva of Cairo, GA and Jorge Leyva of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Cheyenne Wilkes of Thomasville, GA, Todd Horton (Ansley) of Thomasville, GA, Dustin Ruff (Mikayla) of Thomasville, GA, Nick Ruff (Samantha) of Cairo, GA, Lance Johnson of Tennessee, Sara Kate Pearce of Whigham, GA and Ashley Miller of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Hadley Bentley, Jacob Ruff, Pearson Ruff, Blaire Youmans, Halen Ruff and Willow Godfrey; brother, William Ruff of Savannah, GA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Anita Miller; granddaughter, Candice Miller; brothers, Billy Ruff, W.H Ruff and Bill Ruff; sisters, Clara Mae Ruff and Ruby Anne Ruff.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, immediately following the service.
