Funeral services for Gail Peters Woolfolk, 79, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Midway Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Kenneth Cloud will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Woolfolk passed away at her residence, Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Travis Hawthorne, Hank Hawthorne, JW Hawthorne, James Hawthorne, Johnny Sadler, Johnny Schafer, Garrett Godwin and Donovan Fletcher.

Mrs. Woolfolk was born on January 24, 1946, in Ozark, AL, to the late Arthur Bryan Peters and the late Lenora Deese Robison. On February 21, 1970, she married William “Billy” Cecil Woolfolk, Jr., and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2022. They were married over 52 years. She was a secretary with Roddenbery Company and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Beth Woolfolk of Whigham, GA, Kelly Hawthorne (Travis) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Hank Hawthorne of Athens, GA; JW Hawthorne of Whigham, GA; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sisters, Ceila Fain and Sheila Ashcraft.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Woolfolk’s memory to a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends at Midway Baptist Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
