Funeral services for Homer Thomas “Buster” Brown, Jr., 81, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Tim VanLandingham will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Boston City Cemetery, Boston, GA. Mr. Brown passed away at his daughter’s home in Tallahassee, FL, on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Austin Brown, Jacobie Brown, William “Buck” Brown, James Brown, David Gregory and Clint Everett.
Mr. Brown was born on August 11, 1936, in Quitman, GA, to the late Homer Thomas Brown, Sr. and Evelyn Bunting Brown. He served his country in the Georgia National Guard. On June 6, 1959, he married Brenda Leviner Brown, who preceded him in death on October 10, 2009. He retired as a master carpenter with Pennyworth Homes, Inc. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include: sons, Steven Brown (Alisa) of Locust Grove, GA, Stacey Brown (Tonja) of Cairo, GA, Jacobie Brown of Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Brenda Spellman (Amir) of Tallahassee, FL, Mikayla Brown of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, David Gregory (Kristine) of Tallahassee, FL, Emily Brown of Los Angles, CA, Austin Brown of Locust Grove, GA, Clint Everett of Thomasville, GA, Christina Self (Robbie) of Thomasville, GA, James Brown (Natalie) of Thomasville, GA, Lauren Presley of Moultrie, GA, Louna Allen of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Billy Brown (Debbie) of Lakeland, GA, Jimmy Brown (Rhonda) of Ray City, GA, Sam Brown (Shannon) of Thomasville, GA; and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; and sisters, Kathrine Mitchell, Lousie Collins.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
