Memorial services for Jack B. Nichols, 78, of Thomasville, GA, are on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Fellowship Hall of Midway Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Johnny Burdick will officiate. Mr. Nichols passed away in Thomasville, GA, on Monday, April 5, 2021.
Mr. Nichols was born on July 22, 1942, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Virgil L. Nichols and Kizzie L. Hall Nichols. On December 10, 1966, he married Mary L. Nichols, who preceded him in death on April 20, 2018. He retired as a security guard from Cairo High School with the Grady County Board of Education. He is of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: children, Tammy Nichols Davis (John) of Thomasville, GA, James G. Nichols (Rosi) of Cairo, GA, Diane Nichols Maxfield (Doug) of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Timmy Brown (Ashley) of Jacksonville, FL, Taltha Motter of Orlando, FL, Jacob Maxfield (Monica) of Tallahassee, FL, Tristin Motter (Kenneth) of Orlando, FL, Aaron Maxfield of Gainesville, FL; sisters-in-law, Francis Nichols of Americus, GA, Glenda Nichols of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; brothers, Virgil Nichols, Morris Nichols, Don Nichols, Glen Nichols; and sisters, Gladys Griffis, Ruby Long.
