James Paul Stevenson
August 6, 1954 – July 29, 2023

James Paul Stevenson, 68, of Big Spring, TX, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his home.  Paul was born August 6, 1954, in Worth County, Sylvester, GA, the son of the late Jimmy Earl Stevenson and Sarah Evelyn Champion Stevenson.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Taylor and Jamie Cassidy.

Paul was an independent contractor.  In his free-time he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, antiquing, and hunting for arrowheads.  Most of all he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, or smoking meats and cooking for his family.

Paul is survived by his wife, Nicolasa “Nicky” Chavez; his children, Kyle Stevenson, Sara Stevenson, Jon Paul Stevenson, and Robert Stevenson; his siblings, Sue Dollar, Jeff Stevenson, Timmy Stevenson, Tommy Stevenson, Cheryl Stevenson, and Lisa Stevenson; his mother-in-law, Diane Chavez; his brother-in-law, David (Heather) Chavez; his sister-in-law, Vicky Chavez; and several nieces and nephews.
