James “Travis” Brinson

Funeral services for James “Travis” Brinson, 76, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at El Bethel Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Dr. Bob Knight will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Brinson passed away at his residence, Whigham, GA, on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Active pallbearers will be Clayton Oxford, Scott Chester, Mason Morrell, Noah Morrell, Tucker Hester and Conner Hyatt.
Mr. Brinson was born on September 18, 1948, in Whigham, GA, to the late Robert L. Brinson and Wilma Eugenia Mobley Brinson. He married Mary Suellen Pritchett Brinson on April 16, 2016, who survives. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-six years, retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Following his military career, he worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
