Jane Butler Cliett

Funeral services for Martha Jane Butler Cliett, 67, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Eddie Wilson will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Cliett passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Active pallbearers will be Bradley Jones, Kolby Jones, Ace Womble, Matthew Ferguson, Ron Harrison, Zach Harrison and Darren Moore.

Mrs. Cliett was born on February 15, 1952, in Thomasville, GA, to the late John Thomas “J.T.” Butler, Jr. and Dorothy Horton Butler. On July 2, 1983, she married Danny Cliett, who survives. Jane graduated from Cairo High School in the Class of 1970. Over the years she had worked with Ithaca Industries, Reynolds-Jeffords Insurance Agency in Bainbridge and Center Drugs. She was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: her husband, Danny Cliett of Camilla, GA; her daughters, Sherrie Jones (Heath) of Whigham, GA, Heather Womble (John) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Bradley Jones (Hope) of Cairo, GA, Kolby Jones of Whigham, GA, Ace Womble of Cairo, GA, Marleigh Womble of Cairo, GA, Jordyn Johnson of Cairo, GA; great-granddaughter, Amelia Jones of Cairo, GA; sisters, Brenda Harrison (David) of Cairo, GA, Sylvia Ferguson (Terry) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brandon Cliett.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Cliett’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
