Memorial services for Jaden Jay Vargas-Candelaria, 17, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:30 p.m., December 23rd, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Deacon Miguel Gutierrez will officiate. Jaden Vargas-Candelaria passed away at his residence, Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Jaden was born on November 20, 2007, in Cairo, GA, to Juan Vargas and Marcela Yanet Candelaria Flores. He was a junior at Cairo High School. He was a member of the Cairo High School soccer team. In his free time, he enjoyed playing soccer with friends, as well as pickleball and had a talent for drawing. At the age of 13, he started working with his dad and uncles; learning to be a hard worker and he enjoyed learning how to take things apart and build them with his own hands. He was a bright light in this world with a contagious smile that could touch your heart.
Survivors include his parents; his sister, Geneva Candelaria; uncles, Nestor Candelaria Flores, Javier Candelaria Flores, Mario Vargas de la Cruz and Armando Escareno; aunts, Anne Candelaria Flores, Alma Escareno, Julieta Vargas de la Cruz and Krista Candelaria; grandfathers, Javier Candelaria and Mario Vargas Alamilla; grandmother, Maria Luisa de la Cruz Pastor; as well as cousins, Sheila Escareno, Miranda Escareno, Ean Escareno, Ethan Escareno, Eli Candelaria, Kenzlea Candelaria, Briggitte Vargas, Juliette Galindo Vargas, Andrea Vargas and other extended family.
He was preceded in death and received in heaven by his grandmother, Virginia Candelaria; and infant cousin Maximus Candelaria; as well as his great-grandparents.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
