Jean Ring Ansley
June 29, 1944 – January 8, 2024

Memorial services for Jean Ring Ansley, 79, of Whigham, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate.  Mrs. Ansley passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Monday, January 8, 2023.

Mrs. Ansley was born on June 29, 1944, in Cairo, GA, to the late Eugene Ring and Edna Royals Barbee.  She was married to Larry Ansley, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2014.  She married her true soulmate and grieved for him every day since his passing. They are together now.

Until her retirement, she was employed as a secretary with Grady General Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department.  Later she worked with Selena at I Can Of Cairo.  Mrs. Ansley was a wonderful friend and mother to her daughter and son-in-law, always ready with a laugh. She loved her pet grandson Jack with all her heart.

Survivors include: her daughter, Selena Harrell (Sam) of Cairo, GA; brothers, Darrell Ring (Marsha), Greg Ring, both of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in-law, Darlene Barbee of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and a brother, Rayford Barbee.
