Jean Smith Folsom
February 3, 1949 – February 11, 2023

Funeral services for Jean Smith Folsom, 74, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Providence Baptist Church, Whigham, GA.  Rev. Bryan Gainous will officiate.  Services will conclude at the church.   Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Folsom passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Mrs. Folsom was born on February 3, 1949, in Cairo, GA, to the late George Luther Smith and Cassie Mae Willis Smith.  On August 6, 1965, she married Wymond L. Folsom, who survives.  They were married for over 57 years.  She was self-employed as owner of the Whispering Pines Nursery until her retirement.  She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Whigham.  Spending time with her family was everything to Jean.  She had a great love for her feline fur babies.

Survivors include:  her husband, Wymond L. Folsom of Cairo, GA; her daughter, Anita Folsom of Cairo, GA; brother, Luther Smith (Misty) of Cairo, GA; sister, Joyce Roberts of Tifton, GA; nieces, Makenzie Palmer (Dalton) of Cairo, GA, Laramee Smith of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at Providence Baptist Church immediately following the funeral service.
