Memorial services for Jeffrey Douglas Lyons, 56, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Carl Harrell will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Mr. Lyons passed away at his daughter’s home in Cairo, GA, on Monday, October 23, 2017.

Mr. Lyons was born on October 9, 1961, in Marion, IN, to the late Ivan Pearl Lyons and Kaye Wildener Lyons, who survives. Until his retirement, he worked with Ryder Transportation. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: his son, Robert Lyons (Katrina) of Valdosta, GA; his daughter, Rachel Rankin (Kane) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Layla Lyons, Taylor Smith, Tyler Smith, all of Valdosta, GA, Serenity Rankin, Ian Rankin, Alexander Rankin, all of Cairo, GA; mother, Kaye Lyons of Anderson, IN; sister, Cindy Paules of El Paso, TX; brothers, Greg Lyons of Anderson, IN, Chad Lyons of Anderson, IN; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Ivan Lyons; granddaughter, Lila Lyons; and an uncle, Pete Wildener.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service.
