Jenell Harrison Halstead

Funeral services for Jenell H. Halstead, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Kenneth Cloud, Rev. David Hewett and Rev. Steve Singletary will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Pine Level Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Halstead passed away at her home on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Active pallbearers will be her Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Stewart, Gene Jones, Myron Jones, Dwight Patten, and Johnny Carson.
Mrs. Halstead was born on November 2, 1942, in Climax, GA, to the late R. C. Harrison and Ruby Clyde Phillips Harrison. On December 13, 1997, she married James Halstead, who preceded her in death on October 20, 2022. She worked as a quality control inspector for Torrington before her retirement. Mrs. Jenell was a faithful Baptist attending both Hilltop Bible and The Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her daughters; Teresa Hewett (David) of Adel, GA, Tina Carter (James) of Cairo, GA; her son, Rex Halstead (Darlene) of Cairo, GA; her grandchildren, Chris Hewett (Jessica), of Douglas, GA, Brandi Ray (Mike) of Adel, GA, Teri Hurst (Joey) of Ochlocknee, GA, Tori Bennett ( Dallas) of Tifton, GA, Bobby Stout ( Hope) of Tifton, GA, Landon Carter of Cairo, GA, Nicholas Halstead of Cairo, GA, Nathan Halstead (Anna) of Cairo, GA, Lucas Halstead of Ft. Myers, FL; her great grandchildren, Paisley Hurst, Basil Bruttomesso, Payton Bennett, Parker Stalvey, Zane Hewett, Jace Hurst, Carter Bennett, Hollyn Hurst, Tristan Ray, Murphy Stout and Emersyn Halstead; her sister, Delores Partlow of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her sons, Rodney and Ricky Halstead; her sister, Yvonne Iler; and her brothers Dorman and Gary Harrison.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Halstead’s memory to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and the American Heart Association.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
