Funeral services for Jerry Wendell Prince, 95, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver, Rev. Andrew Donaldson, Ray Barrett and Duane Davis will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Capel Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Prince passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Active pallbearers will be Cole Prince, Gerren Prince, David Prince, Rusty Pritchett, Tony Baird, Layton Stephenson, and Matt LeBlanc. Wendell’s Sunday School Class will be honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Prince was born on May 23, 1923, in Cairo, GA, to the late Collie Wendell Prince and Pixie Oliver Prince. He served his country in the United States Air Force. On February 7, 1947, he married Selma Reagan Prince, who preceded him in death on August 9, 2015. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and farmer. He was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughter, Pattie Bullington of Cairo, GA; sons, Jerry Prince (Bertha) of Cairo, GA, Larry Prince (Dale) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Dana Pritchett (Rusty) of Cairo, GA, Teresa Baird (Tony) of Cairo, GA, David Prince (Marcelline) of Warner Robins, GA, Christina LeBlanc (Matt) of Murfreesboro, TN, Cole Prince (Torey) of Cairo, GA, Gayla Prince of Newnan, GA, Gerren Prince (Kailin) of Cairo, GA, Chris Norris of Quitman, GA, Brian Knight (Dustie) of Pelham, GA, CeeCee Knight of Camilla, GA; great-grandchildren, Katie Pritchett, Layton Stephenson, Eryn Pritchett, Alec LeBlanc, Lorrainah Prince, Jesse Prince, Brittan Yeomans, Millie Yeomans, Maggie Yeomans, Luca LeBlanc, Aidan Baird, Alden LeBlanc, Kaleb Prince, Logan Knight, Jase Knight, Brooke Knight, Presley Prince: sisters, Voncile Hall of Cairo, GA, Verna Jones of Jasper, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife of 68 years, Selma Reagan Prince; son-in-law, Aaron Bullington, Jr.; grandsons, Darren Bullington, David Knight; and a brother, Edsell Prince.
