Jesse Maxwell Roland

Graveside funeral services for Jesse Maxwell Roland, 82, of Cairo, GA, are on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Pine Park Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Rev. Steve Wooten and Rev. Jesse Roland, Jr. will officiate.  Mr. Roland passed away at his home on Monday, December 21, 2020.

Mr. Roland was born on March 4, 1938, in Tallahassee, FL, to the late Ernest Roland and Ruby Maxwell Roland.  He served his country in the United States Army and the Air Force.  On September 10, 1960, he married Martha Stewart Roland, who survives.  He was a truck driver with Walpole Trucking.  Jesse was a member and Deacon of Pine Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Martha Roland of Cairo, GA; children, Jesse Roland, Jr. (Kathy) of Barberville, FL, Toby Roland (Julliett) of Oakdale, CA, Stewart Roland (Shaye) of Cairo, GA; 11grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Ebron (Tom) on New Bern, NC, Linda Roland of Celebration, FL, Carol Bourne of Andrews, SC; brothers, Ivan Roland of Cairo, GA, Sammy Roland (Peggy) of Royston, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by parents and a grandson, Stephen Anthony Roland.
