Jesse Gerald “Jerry” Dinkins
July 29, 1938 – January 20, 2023

Jesse Gerald “Jerry” Dinkins, 84, of Cairo, Georgia, passed away at Magnolia Place on Friday, January 20, 2023.  Graveside funeral services are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate.

Gerald was born in Florence, AL on July 29, 1938, to the late W. M. Dinkins and Francis Greene Dinkins.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He retired as a Phone System Consultant with AT&T in 1993. He then began his retirement life living on Lake Seminole, and where he spent his days on the farm in Seminole county.  Gerald was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his nephews, Kerry Dinkins (Patty) of Cairo, Georgia, Keith Dinkins (Rhonda) of Cairo, Georgia, and a host of great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.M. Dinkins and Francis Greene Dinkins, and his brother, William D. (Billy) Dinkins.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Dinkins’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
