Memorial services for Jewell Jordan Prince, 88, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Woodland United Methodist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Charles Whatley will officiate. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Prince passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
Mrs. Prince was born on December 2, 1927, in Cairo, GA, to the late Charles Rueben Jordan and Claudia Corine Lansdon Jordan. She was married to William F. Prince on September 3, 1944, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2001. She was a homemaker and member of Woodland United Methodist Church.
She was active in the Women’s Ministry and Youth Ministry at Woodland, and loved to work in her yard, meticulously keeping it through hours of work. She was a devoted wife and Mother, whose main interests in life were family, friends, and neighbors. To that end, she delighted in cooking her renowned banana pudding and delicious cakes.
Survivors include: daughter, Linda Maige (Bob) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Rawlings Maige (Karen) of Cairo, GA, Rhett Maige (Lindsey) of Cairo, GA, Joy Bell of Jacksonville, FL, Jordan Prince of California; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a son, William Jordan “Jerry” Prince; a grandson; two sisters; and four brothers.

The family will receive friends at Woodland United Methodist Church immediately following the memorial service at the church.
