Interment with Graveside services for Jimmy Lloyd Hatcher, 85 of Bristol, FL, are at 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. A Memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Cairo, GA. Mr. Hatcher passed away at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Marianna, FL, on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Mr. Hatcher was born on August 3, 1932, in Boston, GA, to the late James Simeon Hatcher and Irene White Hatcher. He was born and raised on a farm in Boston, GA, where he learned the value of hard work and perseverance. He moved his family from Cairo, GA, to Liberty County, FL, in 1969, where he and his wife lived until he suffered a stroke in 2011. He loved his family and helping friends and strangers alike. His wife, Vivian Smith Hatcher, preceded him in death on May 24, 2017. He was a self-employed Real Estate Investor. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include: five children; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter; sister; and wife.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
