Funeral services for Jimmy Troy Smith, 78, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025, in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Interment will be Bold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA. Bro. Billy Willis will officiate. Mr. Smith passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Collin Smith, Chase Hornsby, Christopher Dollar, Chris Smith, Kevin Smith and Keith Watson.

Mr. Smith was born on August 10, 1946, in Cairo, GA, to the late Troy Smith and Geneva Ragans Smith. On January 18, 1967, he married Barbara Watson Smith. They were married for over 58 years. He worked with Coats and Clark in Thomasville for several years and later as a mechanic with the City of Thomasville. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Thomasville.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Smith of Ochlocknee, GA; children, Amy King (Stephen) of Ochlocknee, GA, Michael Smith (Melissa) of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Toni Hornsby (Chase) of Ochlocknee, GA, Stevie King of Ochlocknee, GA, Collin Smith of Ochlocknee, GA, Casey Dollar of Whigham, GA, Christopher Dollar of Whigham, GA; great-grandchildren, Weston Hornsby of Ochlocknee, GA, Willow King of Ochlocknee, GA, Raven King of Ochlocknee, GA; siblings, Charles Smith (Marilyn) of Putney, GA, Barbara Causey of Ochlocknee, GA; as well as his beloved dogs, Fancy and Dixie; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by parents and a brother-in-law, Robert Causey.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
