John Emory “Johnny” Booth

Funeral services for John Emory “Johnny” Booth, 65, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Reno Baptist Church, Reno, GA. Rev. Carl Harrell and Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in the Broome Cemetery. Mr. Booth passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Bell, Roger Daughtry, Ronnie Johnson, Carson Bearden, Duane Hopkins, Bill McCorkle, Teddy Bryant, Jimmy Hammett and Walter Maxwell.
Mr. Booth was born on July 2, 1951, in Cairo, GA, to the late Gordon Booth and Robbie Broome Booth. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On July 2, 1971, he married Clara Lowe Booth, who survives. He was a master mechanic that worked with many companies and had expertise in many areas. He currently was employed at the Albany Marine Logistics Base. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his wife of 45 years, Clara Lowe Booth of Cairo, GA; sons, Jonathan Booth (Dawn) of Thomasville, GA, Joshua Booth of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Rayna Booth, Riley Booth, both of Thomasville, GA; sister, Karen Green (Jimmy) of Reno, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Booth.
