John Randall Avery
August 9, 1945 – April 7, 2025

Funeral services for John Randall Avery, 79, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Military Honors will be presented. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Avery passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Mr. Avery was born on August 9, 1945, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late John Howard Avery and Ruth Voncile Brock Avery. He was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and served his country in the United States Army. On June 14, 1980, he married Patricia Glisson Avery, who preceded him in death on September 18, 2014. He retired as a supervisor with United Parcel Service. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Cairo. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Randall loved golf, tennis, car races, fishing and camping with his brothers and most importantly family gatherings.
Survivors include: daughter, Kim Bradley Chason (Charles) of Cairo, GA; granddaughter, Ashley Derrick of Cairo GA, Caroline Prince of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Scott, Everley Scott, Chandler Derrick; brother, Ronnie Avery of Cairo, GA; sister, Diane Avery Pilcher (Earl) of Carrollton, GA; sisters-in-law, Clarica Avery and Leslie Avery; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Patricia Avery; and brothers, Raburn Avery and Ricky Avery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel.
