Joseph Eugene “Joe” Tucker
June 1, 1950 – August 2, 2023

Funeral services for Joseph Eugene “Joe” Tucker, 73, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Danny Whetstone will officiate.  Interment will be in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Tucker passed away at his home on August 2, 2023.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and Deacons of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church.

Mr. Tucker was born on June 1, 1950, in Marianna, FL, to the late Cicero Tucker and Dovie O’Bryan Tucker.  On March 25, 2003, he married Tonda Orene Tucker, who survives.  He worked and retired as a machinist. He was a member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Tonda Tucker of Cairo, GA; children: Ariel McGuire of Cairo, GA, Mallory Tucker of Cairo, GA, Victoria Simmons (Earnie) of Hartsfield, GA; grandchildren: Hayden Wynn (Taylor) of Cairo, GA, Zachary Beckwith of Cairo, GA, Maura Beckwith of Hartsfield, GA, Tyler Wynn of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchild, Emmersyn Grace Wynn of Cairo, GA; and his extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Cathi Stansbury Tucker; daughter, Miranda Tucker; and four brothers and a sister.

The family will receive friends at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church immediately following the service.
