Funeral services for Karen Atkinson Dinkins, 59, of Ochlocknee, Grady County, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Bold Springs United Methodist Church, Grady County, GA. Rev. Charles Whatley will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Dinkins passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Grady County E.M.S.
Mrs. Dinkins was born on April 4, 1957, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Bruce Atkinson and Ila Mae Asbel Atkinson. She was a member of Bold Springs Methodist Church. She was a bookkeeper and dispatcher with the Grady County E.M.S.
Survivors include: brother, Jimmy Atkinson (Debra) of Newton, GA; nephews, Ross Atkinson of Bainbridge, GA, Cliff Atkinson (Kris) of Dallas, TX, Josh NeSmith of Cairo, GA; great-niece, Deanna NeSmith of Sylvester, GA; brothers-in-law, Robert NeSmith of Pelham, GA, Jerry Dinkins of Donalsonville, GA; step-sons, Kerry Dinkins (Patty) of Cairo, GA, Keith Dinkins of Cairo, GA; and grandchildren, Laramee Dinkins Nicholson (Matt) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Logan Dinkins of Cairo, GA.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husbands, John Thompson and Billy Dinkins; and a sister, Marian NeSmith.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
