Funeral services for Kenneth Alvin Lee, 69, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Pine Park Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Brandon Smith and Rev. Steve Wooten will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Pine Park Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Lee passed away at HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Active pallbearers will be Vince Curtis, Bruce Lee, Sr., Greg McNair, Preston Lee, Chris Lee, Todd Johnson, Jarrett Woods and Whit Benton.
Mr. Lee was born on October 10, 1953, in Cairo, GA, to the late William Berry Lee and Willie Harvell Lee. On March 18, 1978, he married Rhonda Garland Lee, who survives. They were married for over 44 years. He was a graduate of the Cairo High School Class of 1972. He excelled in track and pole vaulting while in school where he competed at the state level and won first place. Many of his records were not broken until 20 years later in pole vaulting. Many people will remember Alvin from his many years at Cairo Tire Company as the best automotive wheel alignment specialist in this area. He also worked with exhaust and brake systems. Alvin loved photography, wood working, computers and he had the ability to fix anything. He attended Pine Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Rhonda Lee of Cairo, GA; brothers, Roger Lee (Gail) of Cairo, GA, Ronald Lee of Commerce, GA, Phillip Lee (Barbara) of Cairo, GA; sisters, Dorothy McNair of Bainbridge, GA, Faye Kelley of Cairo, GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda G. Stringer of Cairo, GA, Terri G. Johnson (Tommy) of Lake City, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Frances Lee Sadler; brother, Roy Lee; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Kelley, Robert McNair, G.W. Sadler, Fred Stringer.
