Kenneth Lamar “Kenny” Brinkley

Funeral services for Kenneth Lamar “Kenny” Brinkley, 65, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Tim VanLandingham will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Brinkley passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
Active pallbearers will be Marcus Bracewell, Donald Evans, Jared Evans, Rusty Evans, Jody Bishop and Bryan Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Durwood Sellars, Bobby Nowell, Vince Curtis, Ricky Pearce, Keith Dinkins, Andy Dekle, Richie Rich, Russell Register, Bruce Womble and James “Hoppy” Hopkins.
Mr. Brinkley was born on January 5, 1955, in Cairo, GA, to the late Joe B. “J.B.” Brinkley and Maysel “Bobbie” Horton Brinkley. Kenny was an automotive and body shop painter and technician until his retirement due to health reasons. Kenny was proud of his Native American Heritage and was a member of the Lower Muscogee Creek Tribe.
Survivors include: sister, Patricia “Patty” A. Brinkley of Cairo, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. “Tommy” and Phyllis Brinkley of Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Jason and Allison Gainous of Summerville, SC, Chrissy and James Gass of West Palm Beach, FL, Marcus and Heather Brinkley of Whigham, GA, Nick and Holly Brinkley of New Tazewell, TN, Kristen Welch of Americus, GA; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
