Lavon Edenfield

Memorial services for Lavon Edenfield, 68, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Eric Mitchell will officiate. Mr. Edenfield passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Mr. Edenfield was born on July 2, 1950, in Cairo, GA, to the late Eleck Marvin Edenfield and Ruby Nix Edenfield. He retired as a logger with Randy Holton Logging. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: a brother, James Henry Edenfield (Emma) of Cairo, GA; a sister, Ruby Dale Strickland of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers, Marvin D. Edenfield, Bobby Lee Edenfield, Leroy Edenfield, Sr., Barley Edenfield; and sisters, Hattie Marie Thomas, Vergie Merle Baggett.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service.
