Funeral services for Leila Belle Busby, 70, of Cairo, GA, are on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo. Rev. Johnny Burdick will officiate. Mrs. Busby passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Mrs. Busby was born on January 31, 1950, in Cairo, GA, to the late Thomas Carol Brown, Sr. and Atha Lee Bishop Brown. She worked with the Torrington Company until her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith. Leila had a love for her family. She was a dedicated reader, she had a passion for fishing and loved going to take a spin on the slot machines.
Survivors include: her devoted friend and companion of 22 years, Edgar Cross, Sr. of Cairo, GA and Georgetown, GA; children, Janice Ladonna Martin Chason of Whigham, GA, Jesse Ladon Martin of Whigham, GA, Don Redberry Martin of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Leonard Sellers of Tallahassee, FL, Kenneth Randall Chason (Samantha) of Warner Robbins, GA, Aris Matthew Chason of Warner Robbins, GA, Dustin Martin of Pineville, MO, Jason Martin of Pineville, MO, Clay Martin of Pineville, MO, Noah Martin of Nashville, TN, Deven Martin of Hiawassee, GA; great-grandchildren, Bailee Sellers of Donalsonville, GA, Brentley Sellers of Tallahassee, FL, Kennedy Chason of Warner Robbins, GA; brothers, Thomas Carol Brown, Jr. of Cairo, GA, Curtis Brown of Cairo, GA; sisters, Peggy Sellers of Cairo, GA, Teressia Lawser (Jim) of Cairo, GA, Sandra Reagan (Burt) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Randall Busby; and two brothers, Willard Brown, Aris Brown.
