Leslie Lamar Beasley

Funeral services with Military Honors for Leslie Lamar Beasley, 82, of Donalsonville, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Salem Seminole Baptist Church, 2785 Joel Poole Rd, Donalsonville, GA.  Rev. David Roland will officiate.  Services will conclude at the church.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Beasley passed away at Lifebrite Nursing Home in Blakely, GA, on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Active pallbearers will be Leon Gainous, Barry Gainous, Tommy Stevenson, Jimmy Beasley, Mark Beasley and Robert Beasley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Glass, Milton Smith and Cecil Crooms.

Mr. Beasley was born on January 7, 1939, in Newton, AL, to the late Bufford B. Beasley and Minnie Leon Covington Beasley.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  On January 25, 1963, he married Nancy Joiner Beasley, who survives.  Leslie was a master carpenter and custom cabinet maker.  He was a member of Salem Seminole Baptist Church in Donalsonville.

Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Beasley of Donalsonville, GA; children, Dee Dee Holley (Michael) of Woodville, FL, Michael Beasley (Debra) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Shelly Patterson (Derick) of Cairo, GA, Heather Holley of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Brayden Williamson, Austin Patterson, Delilah Patterson, Destiny Patterson, Ava Patterson, all of Cairo, GA; and a sister, Marie Gainous of Cairo, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Bobby Beasley, Harold Beasley, Leonard Beasley; and an infant sister, Betty Jean Beasley.
