Luther Marion “Buddy” Hays

Luther Marion “Buddy” Hays, 71, of Climax, GA, passed away at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, FL, on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. The family will have a memorial service at a later time.

Mr. Hays was born on February 7, 1947, in Donalsonville, GA, to the late Alto Madison Hays and Martha Mattie Truesdell Hays. He owned and operated American Overhead Garage Doors. He was a member of Climax Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughters, Angela Deien (T.J.) of Claremore, OK, Angelic Norris (Matthew) of Climax, GA; son, DeWayne Hays (Kristmas) of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Lisa Jones of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Timothy Deien, Jr., Austin Deien, both of Claremore, OK, Katelynn Patterson, Georgia Norris, both of Climax, GA; great-grandchild, Timothy John Deien, III of Claremore, OK; and sisters, Virginia Mash of Cairo, GA, Lois Thomas of Cairo, GA, Shirley Ann Owens (Emory) of Fort Gaines, GA, Mary Elizabeth Gardner of Orange Park, FL, Charlene Sadler of Climax, GA and Sarah Moore of Climax, GA.

Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Chasity Jones; a sister, Mary Frances Ross; brothers, Alto Eugene Hays, Marvin Hays and Madison Hays.
