Marie Henry Fritchie Barfield, 88, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Thomasville Nursing and Rehab, Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. No visitation or services are planned.

Mrs. Barfield was born on July 26, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Frank and Ann Henry. On January 26, 1991, she married Eugene Talmadge Barfield, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2003. She was a home maker and of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include: son, Walter Fritchie of Cairo, GA; daughters, Elanor Brooks of Adel, GA, Marie Murphy of New Jersey; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Jack Henry of New Jersey; and a sister, Nancy Lyndell of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; and three brothers.
