Memorial services for Marshall Fountain Aldridge, Jr., 82, of Pelham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Pelham, GA. Rev. Marvin Snipes will officiate. Marshall passed away at his home in northern Grady County, GA, on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
Marshall was born on October 31, 1932, in Greenville, AL, to the late Marshall Fountain Aldridge, Sr. and Ona Lee Holley Aldridge. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. On December 21, 1980, he married his wife, Fay. Until his retirement he was employed as a system technician at Honeywell Avionics. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in the Spence Community. (View map and click on “Directions” in upper left corner)
Survivors include: his wife, Fay E. Aldridge of Pelham, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Marie “Stinky” and Tommy Spencer of High Springs, FL; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Maria Aldridge of Palm Harbor, FL, John Aldridge of Seminole, FL; grandchildren, Alicia Aldridge, Steven Aldridge, Ashley Spencer, Trevor Spencer; and a sister, Veronica Dobbs of Largo, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Robert Dobbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Aldridge’s memory to: the American Cancer Society, Affinis Hospice or a charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends at Macedonia Baptist Church immediately following the memorial service.
