Martha Faye Nazworth Lewis

Funeral services for Martha Faye Nazworth Lewis, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Lewis passed away at Brightmoor Hospice House, Macon, GA, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Mrs. Lewis was born on October 9, 1943, in Cairo, GA, to the late Virgil Nazworth and Lucille Cutchens Nazworth.  She was married to James Richard “Jimmy” Lewis, who preceded her in death on December 26, 2016.  They were married for over 53 years.  Martha Faye retired as the City Clerk for the City of Cairo after forty years of service.  She was a Baptist and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons, James Richard “Ricky” Lewis, II, (Cynthia) of Raleigh, NC, Randy Lewis (Savannah) of Forsyth, GA; and grandchildren, Bailey Lewis of Warner Robins, GA, Dawson Lewis, Gage Echols, both of Warner Robins, GA, Trey Lewis and Benjamin Lewis of Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brother, Virgil Nazworth; and a sister, Senora Robinson.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from noon until 1:00 p.m.
