A memorial visitation for Marvin Elwood Hayes, 80, of Whigham, GA, will be held at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA, Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Mr. Hayes passed away at his home in Whigham, GA, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Mr. Hayes was born on November 10, 1937, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Clarence Hayes and Bernice Pope Hayes. Mr. Hayes served his country in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was married to Virginia Hay Hayes, who survives.
Survivors include: wife, Virginia Hay Hayes of Whigham, GA; sons, Shawn Michael Hayes of Duluth, GA, Brian Keith Hayes of Cairo, GA; daughters, Deborah Hayes Flowers (David) of Cairo, GA, Kelly Marie Ridley (Buzz) of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Lee Donaldson (Tara) of Kingston, WA, Brianna Rose Hayes of Whigham, GA, James Austin Ridley of Ochlocknee, GA, Brian Jacob Hayes of Whigham, GA, Krysti Gambrel of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Ava Ramey, Kinsley Gambrel and Lane Curtis; brothers, Jerry Hayes of Soperton, GA; sisters, Delores Hayes of Charleston, SC, Sharon Howell of Jacksonville, FL, Sandra Hayes of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Wayne Hayes, Bud Hayes, Donald Hayes; and a sister, Carolyn Norman.
